Our History

Logitech was founded in 1965. The company was developed from a research project into advanced semiconductor materials at the University of Glasgow.

With over 50 years of experience in the design and manufacture of materials processing technology, Logitech has gone from strength to strength producing cutting edge system solutions that enable our customers to achieve high industry standard results across a wide range of materials and applications.

  • Developed Failure Analysis Technology
  • Developed CVD Diamond Polishing Technology
2000s
  • Logitech became a wholly owned subsidiary of Roper Technologies
  • Developed CMP Technology & CDP Systems
  • Developed High speed polishing systems
2010s
  • Launch of High Speed Polishing Systems (DP1 & DP4)
  • Focus on developing process equipment for hard materials, such as LED
  • Opening of new CMP lab
  • 2012 – Launch of our Automated Wafer Processing System – Akribis-air
  • 2016 – Launch of the Precision Lapping & Polishing System – the PM6
