Star of the show: Logitech equipment spotted on Netflix drama

Some of our colleagues here at Logitech were surprised to see the appearance of Logitech equipment when watching the new Icelandic series Katla which airs on Netflix. The original sci-fi drama, set in the small town of Vik in Iceland, focuses on the violent eruption of the subglacial volcano, Katla, turning a small communities world upside down.

The equipment which appears to be a Logitech jig and potentially some thin section preparation equipment in the foreground, is clearly shown in the attached clip where the characters appears to be making thin sections for their research. The series is filmed in the costal village of Vik in southern Iceland – we have no customers based in Vik to our knowledge so we are unaware how our equipment ended up in the hands of the production crew but it was a great spot from our colleagues.

Could this be a potential expansion in to a new industry for Logitech? From precision materials processing to prop creation for the television industry. We will keep an open mind to any enquiries we may get from our on-screen debut.
