Investing in the next generation
15th May 2012
Driven by a great respect towards the technical heritage of the West of Scotland and for our future generation. Logitech has developed a much sought after apprenticeship scheme.
The engineering history of the local area (reflecting into Singer’s sewing machines and John Brown’s shipyard) has always identified the West of Scotland as a great source of technical knowledge and skills.
Caring to sustain and preserve this history Logitech has initiated it’s apprenticeship programme. This has commenced with our apprentice Scott Carden from Anniesland college.
In contrast to the current economic climate and the decline in apprentiship schemes within the region, Logitech Ltd is highly interested in both sustaining and enhancing the technical regional expertise.
The company also feels that by supporting young people and investing in them it provides a methodological circle of knowledge to the business and valuable benefits to the region’s local economy.
