Logitech attended the Geological Materials Symposium hosted at Durham University this past week.
The day consisted of a presentation from our technical sales expert, Grant Taggart, on our geological thin section preparation processes. John McCrossan, our Process Development Engineer, then led demonstrations on our PM6 Precision Lapping & Polishing system throughout the rest of the day.
This was a chance for the geo community to experience our latest system first hand and to see the benefits this new system provides over previous machines.
There were also a number of interesting presentations from various influencers in the geological industry on current industry trends and advancements. Including; innovations and modifications to aid in the preparation of geo-materials from The Natural History Museum and a guided tour of Durham University’sown thin section/polishing lab and their G.J. Russell Electron Micorscopy Suite.
